OUR STORY

LEADING ESPORTS AND GAMING HUB IN THE MENA REGION

Established in 2015, we managed to become the pioneers of esports in the MENA region. Our goal is to innovate a complete gaming and esports hub that connects gamers all around the world with daily tournaments, events, and activities.
But it does not stop there. We want gaming and esports to reach more people. So, we restlessly work on connecting all types of brands and entities with the industry.
We are committed to serve all gamers in every way possible, providing them with the competitive and fun environment they need, and helping them become the champions they wish to be.

History Behind GBarena

2015

"First Believer - USWC"
GBarena was selected to be one of the finalists in University startup World Cup competition in Copenhagen, Denmark  

2016

Starting the Journey of GBarena... and Incubated at AUC Venture Lab

2017

GBarena won the French Tech Ticket, Incubated in Belle de Mai, and supported by the French government

2018

GBarena is supported by the Egyptian Ministry of communication. 

Mid 2018

The first official tournament hosted on GBarena and having Virgin Megastore as the first sponsor.

2019

GBarena landed it's first investment from HIMangel "The leading angel network in Africa"

Mid 2019

GBarena launched It's first version of the online tournaments management platform

2020

Seed investment from AUC Angels and multiple angel investor. 

Late 2020

Launching GBarena 2.0 Where GBarena integrated directly with games and add the first social layer

2021

Reaching 200,000 Registered users on our platform, and Reaching 500,000+ Participations

mid 2021

Bridge investment and welcoming Ahmed Abo-douma "ex Mobily and Orascom telecom CEO" as the Chairman of GBarena.
