MENA Professional Teams Making a Difference

After years of fighting to be recognized as one of the most successful and fastest-growing regions in esports, the MENA region has successfully proven that, in addition to proving how strong its pro-competitive teams are in many different games.

Valorant Scene

The Valorant scene in the MENA region might just be the most successful in the region, with teams like Anubis Gaming, of course, winning 2021’s Red Bull Campus Clutch while representing Egypt in the global tournament.
The MENA region’s Valorant teams have now earned a spot in the Valorant Champions Tour, competing with the biggest teams worldwide.
As for competing against the biggest teams worldwide, our region’s Valorant pro teams, specifically in the event “SUPERDOME”, Geekay Esports beat the European star team Fnatic, and RA’AD beat Ascend, both in phenomenal showdowns of skill and strategy.

League of Legends Scene

As for League of Legends, MENA’s League of Legends professional teams have shown off their high skill and strategic levels, with players like RA’AD’s Dattura being ranked #1 Ezreal player on the server, and RA’AD’s Maged being a feared toplaner by the world’s best professional toplaners.
MENA’s division of Riot Games has seen the potential and launched and launched the Intel Arabian Cup, in partnership with Intel, giving MENA teams a league of their own, just like LCS, LEC, and LPL.
The Egyptian national team has also ranked 3rd in the IeSF 10th Esports World Championship.

Wild Rift

While both the Valorant and League of Legends scenes are prospering, the Wild Rift scene has just begun growing too, with Riot Games partnering with Inel, giving the MENA region the Wild Rift Intel Arabian Cup for the rising star professional teams of the MENA region to officially compete in a Riot Games official league, and soon in an official global one.

As for how the teams are doing so far, the MENA region proudly had its Geekay Esports as one of the top 10 EMEA teams in Wild Rift.

Dominating Globally

The region had its ups and downs in global tournaments, but it will definitely, once again, have more ups, and manage to dominate more global tournaments, and more MENA teams and players will bring home esports cups and awards.
