Red Bull SoloQ Leaderboard 1v1 (League of Legends)

In collaboration with Red Bull, we created an event that depended on our new product, the leaderboard system. Red Bull SoloQ Leaderboard was the daughter of Red Bull SoloQ, one of the biggest League of Legends tournaments ever, and an opportunity for passionate gamers to attend the finals of a huge global tournament for their favorite game.

Red Bull SoloQ Leaderboard was basically the launch of GBarena’s newest product, the leaderboard system, and the event did in fact validate that product proving it successful.

The leaderboard system changes how tournaments are won, players need to earn points by participating in more tournaments and winning in order to climb up the leaderboard, and at the end of an event, the top players on the leaderboard are rewarded according to their ranking. 

The event’s prize pool consisted mainly of 4,750 GBcoins per tournament, and Red Bull packages that include a mousepad, a cup holder, a t-shirt, and a cap.

At the end of the event, the first place–according to the leaderboard–got the Red Bull Golden Ticket, which is basically a trip to the USA to attend Red Bull SoloQ live on-ground, fully paid by Red Bull.

Part of the marketing campaign we created for the event was an advertisement video which got over 24,000 views and 41,000 reach, and a montage of highlights from the tournaments that got over 3,800 views and 21,000 reach.

The 1v1 League of Legends event took place in 2022’s May and June, with a total of 6 tournaments, marking this as GBarena first, and most probably not last collaboration with Red Bull.
